HOLD FAST WHAT YOU HAVE

Truly, the way is narrow
Yea the cross is heavy and rugged
There are trials and temptations
Season of tears and perils
How they abound through the gateway to Heaven
Persecution encompasses the truth
Tribulations and distresses,
Who can escape even parents and brethren
Most times fail to understand
Surely we are plagued unjustly
Most time tears like waterfall
Roll down the cheeks
And the world seems to sallow up
In famine and nakedness
Our light of hopeful glimpses
Tends to live unrevealed
And often times discouragement opens wide its arms
Oh, how the scotching sun wearies
The moon and the stars even tend to afflict
Yet, all day long our hearts seek the salvation of those who hate us in Hunger and thirst
And filled with burden and pain within
Yet our hearts cry out
Salvation for the lost in the world, these are what we see
The called out ones, in all the brethren
Let the weak say I am strong
For by and by, it gets closer
Every step forward draws nearer
The day of everlasting separation unto glory
For those who shall hold fast what they have
Hold fast therefore, the gift of salvation because the journey is almost ended
Hold it firmly till he cames
Hold fast the Holiness you have always professed
Hold fast to what is true
The adorned bride of Christ
Hold fast the truth
It shall surely set you free
Hold fast your Integrity, it shall speak of you
Hold fast, for he wouldn’t disappoint you
Surely, there is an end
It is near, it is at hand
He won’t forget your labour of love
Lift up your eyes to the sky and behold the clouds of abundance
The orphans shall again rejoice
Because their father draws near
The widows shall be comforted
The oasis in the wilderness shall be filled again
Dearly beloved can’t you feel it
Your father draws near, hold on to him
Fix your hands to the plough
Set it firmer than ever
Do not look back, because it won’t be long
Surely, thy salvation is nearer than when you first believed
Hold on just a little more
He won’t fail you
Hold onto him for he lives forever

Be creative: Unleash the power of your imagination

Albert Einstein is quoted as stating: “Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.”
In the Back to the Future series, “Doc” Emmett Brown used a device called Mr. Fusion. This device was a reactor that converted household waste (i.e. garbage) into useful energy to power the DeLorean time machine. In our day and age, there are vehicles that are powered by renewable biodiesel fuel. Biodiesel can be made from waste vegetable oil, used cooking oil, used fryer grease, etc. That which originated as an abstract idea in the imagination of the movie creator (using waste products to power a vehicle) has now become a tangible reality.
I’m sure you can think of many more examples where someone’s imagination turned out to be a preview of life’s coming attractions. However, why am I even bringing up this topic to begin with?
There are many systems and programs out there that claim that you’ll produce your first million just by using a premade website that they provide to you. What’s the problem with this? If 1,000+ people are using the same “cookie cutter” website to promote the same product with the same information, there is no true product differentiation. There are a bunch of clone websites all over the place, and you’re basically competing with fellow program members. The market becomes oversaturated. How can you expect to have measurable success in such an environment?
In order to be different and stand apart from the mainstream, you must be creative and unleash the power of your imagination. In a sense, you have to brand yourself. As was implied above, it’s impossible to brand yourself when you use the same promotional materials as everyone else.
When you hear “We Like to Party” by the Vengaboys or see an old man in a tuxedo dancing/getting his groove on, what does it remind you of?
Six Flags, no doubt. These mascots and images are what stand out in our mind. You must apply the same principle and make yourself and/or the product memorable to your intended audience.
Being creative filters down into all aspects of your life … not just advertising and marketing. Be creative in the ways you manage and grow your money - of course, make sure you’re doing things legally and sensibly.
Others have invented brilliant products from relatively simple ideas … think of velcro, Scotch tape (these are inventions that still stick with us today, pun intended), light bulbs, condoms … well, you get the idea.
Have fun, and let your imagination run wild. You may just have the next important idea that can change the way the world lives, does business, and so much more. In the process, you can even make a mint off of your ideas. If you merge forces with Willy Wonka, you might even be able to operate a mint chocolate factory (corny joke, I know).
Ken Robinson gave an interesting discourse about education and creativity and how it affects society. Please feel free to check out that video below. On a final note (and since I mentioned Willy Wonka), here is a song entitled “Pure Imagination” from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory

The 25 most difficult questions you'll be asked on a job interview

prepared is half the battle. If you are one of those executive types unhappy at your present post and embarking on a New Year's resolution to find a new one, here's a helping hand. The job interview is considered to be the most critical aspect of every expedition that brings you face-to- face with the future boss. One must prepare for it with the same tenacity and quickness as one does for a fencing tournament or a chess match. This article has been excerpted from "PARTING COMPANY: How to Survive the Loss of a Job and Find Another Successfully" by William J. Morin and James C. Cabrera. Copyright by Drake Beam Morin, inc. Publised by Harcourt Brace Jovanovich. Morin is chairman and Cabrera is president of New York-based Drake Beam Morin, nation's major outplacement firm, which has opened offices in Philadelphia. 1. Tell me about yourself.Since this is often the opening question in an interview, be extra careful that you don't run off at the mouth. Keep your answer to a minute or two at most. Cover four topics: early years, education, work history, and recent career experience. Emphasize this last subject. Remember that this is likely to be a warm-up question. Don't waste your best points on it. 2. What do you know about our organization? You should be able to discuss products or services, revenues, reputation, image, goals, problems, management style, people, history and philosophy. But don't act as if you know everything about the place. Let your answer show that you have taken the time to do some research, but don't overwhelm the interviewer, and make it clear that you wish to learn more. You might start your answer in this manner: "In my job search, I've investigated a number of companies. Yours is one of the few that interests me, for these reasons..." Give your answer a positive tone. Don't say, "Well, everyone tells me that you're in all sorts of trouble, and that's why I'm here", even if that is why you're there. 3. Why do you want to work for us?The deadliest answer you can give is "Because I like people." What else would you like-animals? Here, and throughout the interview, a good answer comes from having done your homework so that you can speak in terms of the company's needs. You might say that your research has shown that the company is doing things you would like to be involved with, and that it's doing them in ways that greatly interest you. For example, if the organization is known for strong management, your answer should mention that fact and show that you would like to be a part of that team. If the company places a great deal of emphasis on research and development, emphasize the fact that you want to create new things and that you know this is a place in which such activity is encouraged. If the organization stresses financial controls, your answer should mention a reverence for numbers. If you feel that you have to concoct an answer to this question - if, for example, the company stresses research, and you feel that you should mention it even though it really doesn't interest you- then you probably should not be taking that interview, because you probably shouldn't be considering a job with that organization. Your homework should include learning enough about the company to avoid approaching places where you wouldn't be able -or wouldn't want- to function. Since most of us are poor liars, it's difficult to con anyone in an interview. But even if you should succeed at it, your prize is a job you don't really want. 4. What can you do for us that someone else can't?Here you have every right, and perhaps an obligation, to toot your own horn and be a bit egotistical. Talk about your record of getting things done, and mention specifics from your resume or list of career accomplishments. Say that your skills and interests, combined with this history of getting results, make you valuable. Mention your ability to set priorities, identify problems, and use your experience and energy to solve them. 5. What do you find most attractive about this position? What seems least attractive about it?List three or four attractive factors of the job, and mention a single, minor, unattractive item. 6. Why should we hire you?Create your answer by thinking in terms of your ability, your experience, and your energy. (See question 4.) 7. What do you look for in a job?Keep your answer oriented to opportunities at this organization. Talk about your desire to perform and be recognized for your contributions. Make your answer oriented toward opportunity rather than personal security. 8. Please give me your defintion of [the position for which you are being interviewed].Keep your answer brief and task oriented. Think in in terms of responsibilities and accountability. Make sure that you really do understand what the position involves before you attempt an answer. If you are not certain. ask the interviewer; he or she may answer the question for you. 9. How long would it take you to make a meaningful contribution to our firm?Be realistic. Say that, while you would expect to meet pressing demands and pull your own weight from the first day, it might take six months to a year before you could expect to know the organization and its needs well enough to make a major contribution. 10. How long would you stay with us?Say that you are interested in a career with the organization, but admit that you would have to continue to feel challenged to remain with any organization. Think in terms of, "As long as we both feel achievement-oriented." 11. Your resume suggests that you may be over-qualified or too experienced for this position. What's Your opinion?Emphasize your interest in establishing a long-term association with the organization, and say that you assume that if you perform well in his job, new opportunities will open up for you. Mention that a strong company needs a strong staff. Observe that experienced executives are always at a premium. Suggest that since you are so wellqualified, the employer will get a fast return on his investment. Say that a growing, energetic company can never have too much talent. 12. What is your management style? You should know enough about the company's style to know that your management style will complement it. Possible styles include: task oriented (I'll enjoy problem-solving identifying what's wrong, choosing a solution and implementing it"), results-oriented ("Every management decision I make is determined by how it will affect the bottom line"), or even paternalistic ("I'm committed to taking care of my subordinates and pointing them in the right direction"). A participative style is currently quite popular: an open-door method of managing in which you get things done by motivating people and delegating responsibility. As you consider this question, think about whether your style will let you work hatppily and effectively within the organization. 13. Are you a good manager? Can you give me some examples? Do you feel that you have top managerial potential?Keep your answer achievementand ask-oriented. Rely on examples from your career to buttress your argument. Stress your experience and your energy. 14. What do you look for when You hire people?Think in terms of skills. initiative, and the adaptability to be able to work comfortably and effectively with others. Mention that you like to hire people who appear capable of moving up in the organization. 15. Have you ever had to fire people? What were the reasons, and how did you handle the situation?Admit that the situation was not easy, but say that it worked out well, both for the company and, you think, for the individual. Show that, like anyone else, you don't enjoy unpleasant tasks but that you can resolve them efficiently and -in the case of firing someone- humanely. 16. What do you think is the most difficult thing about being a manager or executive?Mention planning, execution, and cost-control. The most difficult task is to motivate and manage employess to get something planned and completed on time and within the budget. 17. What important trends do you see in our industry?Be prepared with two or three trends that illustrate how well you understand your industry. You might consider technological challenges or opportunities, economic conditions, or even regulatory demands as you collect your thoughts about the direction in which your business is heading. 18. Why are you leaving (did you leave) your present (last) job?Be brief, to the point, and as honest as you can without hurting yourself. Refer back to the planning phase of your job search. where you considered this topic as you set your reference statements. If you were laid off in an across-the-board cutback, say so; otherwise, indicate that the move was your decision, the result of your action. Do not mention personality conflicts. The interviewer may spend some time probing you on this issue, particularly if it is clear that you were terminated. The "We agreed to disagree" approach may be useful. Remember hat your references are likely to be checked, so don't concoct a story for an interview. 19. How do you feel about leaving all your benefits to find a new job?Mention that you are concerned, naturally, but not panicked. You are willing to accept some risk to find the right job for yourself. Don't suggest that security might interest you more than getting the job done successfully. 20. In your current (last) position, what features do (did) you like the most? The least?Be careful and be positive. Describe more features that you liked than disliked. Don't cite personality problems. If you make your last job sound terrible, an interviewer may wonder why you remained there until now. 21. What do you think of your boss?Be as positive as you can. A potential boss is likely to wonder if you might talk about him in similar terms at some point in the future. 22. Why aren't you earning more at your age?Say that this is one reason that you are conducting this job search. Don't be defensive. 23. What do you feel this position should pay?Salary is a delicate topic. We suggest that you defer tying yourself to a precise figure for as long as you can do so politely. You might say, "I understand that the range for this job is between N______ and N______. That seems appropriate for the job as I understand it." You might answer the question with a question: "Perhaps you can help me on this one. Can you tell me if there is a range for similar jobs in the organization?" If you are asked the question during an initial screening interview, you might say that you feel you need to know more about the position's responsibilities before you could give a meaningful answer to that question. Here, too, either by asking the interviewer or search executive (if one is involved), or in research done as part of your homework, you can try to find out whether there is a salary grade attached to the job. If there is, and if you can live with it, say that the range seems right to you. If the interviewer continues to probe, you might say, "You know that I'm making N______ now. Like everyone else, I'd like to improve on that figure, but my major interest is with the job itself." Remember that the act of taking a new job does not, in and of itself, make you worth more money. If a search firm is involved, your contact there may be able to help with the salary question. He or she may even be able to run interference for you. If, for instance, he tells you what the position pays, and you tell him that you are earning that amount now and would Like to do a bit better, he might go back to the employer and propose that you be offered an additional 10%. If no price range is attached to the job, and the interviewer continues to press the subject, then you will have to restpond with a number. You cannot leave the impression that it does not really matter, that you'll accept whatever is offered. If you've been making $80,000 a year, you can't say that a $35,000 figure would be fine without sounding as if you've given up on yourself. (If you are making a radical career change, however, this kind of disparity may be more reasonable and understandable.) Don't sell yourself short, but continue to stress the fact that the job itself is the most important thing in your mind. The interviewer may be trying to determine just how much you want the job. Don't leave the impression that money is the only thing that is important to you. Link questions of salary to the work itself. But whenever possible, say as little as you can about salary until you reach the "final" stage of the interview process. At that point, you know that the company is genuinely interested in you and that it is likely to be flexible in salary negotiations. 24. What are your long-range goals?Refer back to the planning phase of your job search. Don't answer, "I want the job you've advertised." Relate your goals to the company you are interviewing: 'in a firm like yours, I would like to..." 25. How successful do you you've been so far?Say that, all-in-all, you're happy with the way your career has progressed so far. Given the normal ups and downs of life, you feel that you've done quite well and have no complaints. Present a positive and confident picture of yourself, but don't overstate your case. An answer like, "Everything's wonderful! I can't think of a time when things were going better! I'm overjoyed!" is likely to make an interviewer wonder whether you're trying to fool him . . . or yourself. The most convincing confidence is usually quiet confidence. I wish u all the best during your interviewIf you've gained from this post pls drop a line.

The perfect interview

They give some people sleepless nights. Others find themselves tongue-tied or worse still, unable to shut up. Interviews are one of the most nerve-racking parts of the recruitment experience. But in truth, there is a knack to them which you can learn, practise and conquer. We spoke to graduate recruiters from the public and private sector to find out the tricks of the trade.» The recruiters:Jonathan Earle, Head of Marketing & Propositions, BarclaysMark Powell, Chief Occupational Psychologist, Civil Service Selection Board» The questions:What should the perfect interviewee do to prepare for the big day?Jonathan: Knowledge is key. Do plenty of research about the company. For example, read the press and go online. If you’re going for an interview with a retail company, visit one of the stores and look at the company’s competitors. Why not mystery shop them? Sign-up for a product or service and collect some first-hand evidence.Mark: Before the interview, take some time to analyse the job description. You should be able to figure out the type of skills and experience needed, and from this the questions the interviewer is likely to ask you. So, if the job description states that they want someone who can plan their time well, you are likely to be asked for an example of when you had to complete something in a certain time period, how you approached this and what the outcome was.Do first impressions count?Jonathan: First impressions are very important. Be smart. Be confident, but not arrogant. Give the interviewer a firm hand shake, remember to smile and make good eye contact. Don’t cross your arms as this might make you look defensive. Best bet - take a deep breath and just try and enjoy the interview. Remember, the company are keen to recruit. They are not trying to catch you out! What is the most important thing to remember when trying to answer difficult questions?Mark: Don’t be afraid to stop and think, don’t try and fudge the answer to the question. Often the more difficult questions are those that ask you to consider a situation where you didn’t perform as well as you could have done or ask you to identify a development need. For example, if the interviewer was trying to determine your competence in planning and organising they might ask a negative question like, ‘Tell me about a time when you failed to deliver a project on time?’Jonathan: Try and structure your answer. If asked whether the company should introduce a new product, you can examine the pros and cons of doing so. Don’t make up the answer as you go along as you will confuse the interviewer. And remember that it’s okay to ask for clarification, even twice if necessary.

Things that can Go Wrong with your Job Search

The bottom line is, why are you still unemployed in spite of your serious efforts and strong desire to get the job of your choice? Many expect a simple, short and precise answer. Unfortunately there is nothing like that. The reason for this is that the employment process is complex, and usually in stages. The other reason is that the recruitment process is imprecise, varying from company to company, and from one individual responsible for recruitment to another. For you, it may just be that you are not getting one particular stage or skill right; for others, it may be two or three or more! So what can be wrong? Below is a summary of the main issues.
You will find the detailed presentation at
1. Poor understanding of self.
 most of us do not know ourselves enough to make informed ടെസിസഷന്‍ about our job/career direction.
 What skills do we have to provide a possible clue on career ദിരെച്റേന്‍
 job and career goal depends on the skills you have Skills are the foundation of job search. Employers want to know what it is you can do for them.  Now do you have personal goals in life? Without a vision, most young people today are just drifting in the sea of life.2. poor understanding of the employers hiring process and attitude  In most situations, employment/hiring have been turned to a two- lane expressway – where there is little or no contact (hence no information) between on-coming and on-going vehicles  . For example, when you desire to work for any organization what do you do? You approach the personnel department for information and possible assistance.  Right? Wrong. The major role of personnel department in the recruitment process is to screen you out!3. Poor management of change arising from joblessness.  Whether you are unemployed, under employed, employed by looking for a better job, or entering the work for the very first time, or entering after a long absence, you are facing change situation. And change affects our emotions – relief, anticipation, or renewal, or you may fell anger, sadness, fear, depression or confusion. These feelings are natural. The key to successful management of change (and attendant transition) is attitude. How much of you time, energy and money are you willing invest in yourself, or better still in your future? Do you realize that looking for a job is indeed a full time job if you are unemployed? Are you ready to work at it?4. Ineffective job – hunt strategy.  If you are not going to anywhere in particular, any road will lead you there. Where, in terms of which sector or industry or company or geographic locale would you like to work? If we assume that you have your job target, the question then, how to do you reach this objective? How do you get a shot at your dream job without which you stand no chance of getting it at all?  Job seekers who want to succeed will have to do the knocking, the digging, the searching. 5. Ineffective Resume / CV The basics of a resume/CV are that it should be letter perfect, neat, easy to read and organized. Easy part. The hard part is putting that resume to work, making it do as mush as a resume can do i.e. making it a successful sales brochure. But no matter how well – organized, how neat, how smoothly written your resume is, if it does not ഹാവ് any “sell” in it, it is not doing its job.  Do you use your resume/CV effectively?6. Inadequate skills for passing job aptitude tests. It is to test the abilities of the applicants in the basic skills required to do the job effectively – comprehension, verbal and quantitative skills, quantitative ability, logical reasoning, speed and accuracy, specific job skills, etc.  At any rate, it is a barrier you must adequately prepare to cross. So except you master these tests and perform well in them, your dream of getting a top flight job might suffer sudden – death7. Ineffective Application Letter The application letter (also referred to as cover letter ) is suppose to customize your Resume/CV for particular job. It should state how your experience and qualification meet the requirements of the job 8. Inadequate preparation for job interview For any interview, thorough preparation is the cornerstone for making positive impressions at job interviews..  For a start, you need to be unformed about the company/industry: key players, levels of remuneration, technology, success factors, etc.  And the small davids that can lead to the fall of Goliath: do you know the venue of the interview not to get lost, and get to the place late? Are you properly dressed? 9 . Poor conduct and presentation.  Qualifications are important but the whole person is more important How much does that person come across? How enthusiastic/positive is this individual?  It is not only about what you will say, but also about how you say it-non – verbal expressions  Findings indicated that within the first few minutes of any personal meeting with somebody who has the power to hire you or screen you out, the decision has pretty much been made  And now to your personality traits. For example, are you stable, honest, ambitious, courteous, etc? Employer has their way of discovering people with extreme behavior of any type.10 . Poor interview skills There are basically five questions you get at job interviews:• Why are you here? (Why do you want to work for us?)• What can you do for us?• What kind of a person are you?• What distinguish you from the other if people who ഹാവ് the same ability as you ഹാവ്
? And finally• Can we afford you? So if a job seeker does not ഹാവ്
answers to these questions before any interview, then he/she hasn’t started to look for work. Same for some specific/uncomfortable questions.

NYSC BACKGROUND

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF THE NYSC
The NYSC scheme was created in a bid to reconstruct, reconcile and rebuild the country after the Nigerian Civil war. The unfortunate antecedents in our national history gave impetus to the establishment of the National Youth Service Corps by decree No.24 of 22nd May 1973 which stated that the NYSC is being established "with a view to the proper encouragement and development of common ties among the youths of Nigeria and the promotion of national unity".
As a developing country. Nigeria is further plagued by the problems attendant upon a condition of under development, namely; poverty. mass illiteracy, acute shortage of high skilled manpower (coupled with most uneven distribution of the skilled people that are available), woefully inadequate socioeconomic infrastructural facilities, housing. Water and sewage facilities, road, healthcare services, and effective communication system. . Faced with these almost intractable problems, which were further compounded by the burden of reconstruction after the civil war, the government and people of Nigeria set for the country, fresh goals, and objectives aimed at establishing Nigeria as:
(a) a united, strong and self reliant nation: (b) a great and dynamic economy; (c) a land of bright and full opportunities for all citizens; and (d) a free and democratic society.
The government and people of Nigeria are not aware that sound and patriotic leadership is a precondition for the rapid social and economic development of the country. As a nation, Nigeria has been less fortunate in the kind of leadership that emerge to govern the affairs of the country in the period immediately after independence, a leadership whose achievements notwithstanding, was none the less ill-prepared. and generally not properly motivated to tackle the problems of socioeconomic under development, in the interest of the country as a whole.
E. There is no gain saying the fact that the future of any country depends on the youths. The youths of Nigeria acknowledge this fact, and have consistently laid claim to the nation's leadership.
F. While one may give credence to the saying that leaders are born, not made, one must also concede to the fact that leadership in a modem society requires a certain degree of preparation and orientation before the assumption of that role.
G. The universities and other institutions of higher learning are normally expected to be training ground for future leaders, except that, as we are all aware, these institutions are first and foremost committed to the advancement of learning and knowledge, training of people for good citizenship. Little wonder that the products of these institutions have been accused of being too elitist in their outlook, of not identifying with the plight of common man, and of inability to appreciate predicament of the vast majority of our people who live in the rural areas.
H. It was the need to look beyond the immediate present and to think of the future leadership of the country that necessitated the mobilisation of certain categories of our youths through the National Youth Service Corps Scheme. This was done with a view to giving them the proper guidance and orientation relevant to the needs of the country. The National Youth Setvice Corps Decree No. 24 which has now been repealed and replaced by Decree 51 of 16th June 1993, was then formally promulgated.
I. The purpose of the scheme is primarily to inculcate in Nigerian Youths the spirit of selfless service to the community, and to emphasize the spirit of oneness and brotherhood of all Nigerians, irrespective of cultural or social background. The history of our country since independence has clearly indicated the need for unity amongst all our people, and demonstrated the fact that no cultural or geographical entity can exist in isolation.

TIME AND CHANCE

To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under Heaven,

It is never too late I encourage myself, Hoping and believing that one day it will come to pass.

The day rolled by and each night approaches, my hope never get Pregnant

neither did my believing give birth as the Chicken patiently wait for its eggs to

hatch .I counted the day that goes by; I tired of hoping, am giving up on believing.
How long will it take the egg to hatch?
And how long will it take the child to be delivered?
I gave up hope and stopped believing fate has its way and let luck decide. I concluded in me without a second thought ………….
Hope was lost and Believing never come back.
I realized this too late
I was no where to be found
When my desire come searching for me, chance never made us meet
Fate has no focus, luck is of chance, and I discovered I have destroyed the child when I gave up hope.
Destiny taking time to spring forth shattered, when I stop believing then it was too late, Time will surely come, and chance may not be found.
There is time for everything, and there is never chance for everything.
The time will surely come but chance has to be created
Time is divine, chance is human, you cannot tell the chance when the time is there. Though it is never too late, it is too late without the time. Then I realized too late .it is never too late but late when you discover it is late

BUSINESS NOT PLEASURE

Resently, I stumbled into a quotation of the thirty-fifth American President J.F Kennedy saying,"Ask not what your Country can do for you;ask what you can do for your Country."This sentence, added to series of empowerment programmes held in the media, churches, and corporate organisations, provoked a burning desire in me to set up something to compliment my Job.
My burning desire grew so strong that i had to consult financial experts and great economists to educate me more on Business enterprise which include the type you are thinking about. In the process i learnt that business is not pleasure.Until you understand the line of action between Business and pleasure, your decision is still babyish and may not result to a fast and growing business.Do not enter into Business because of fame, or because you want to be called a businessman.try to count the cost before before counting the profit, which will bring you to fame.
I want to draw the attention of the privilege few that would be opportune to go through this article to certain factors that will spice up your desire and catapult your business to a multinational business within the shortest possible time frame.
punctuality
Check arround you since you started making decisions yourself, are you responsible to dates, meetings or appointments.Remember, punctiality is the soul of business.Your business would spring up easily when you are anearly riser. The man ahead of you is not faster than you,he only started early. He is not better than You,he only use the availabe oppotunity he had.If you must make a mark in your business, then you must do away with those things that give you pleasure.
Time
A wise man once said,"Businessmen are not time wasters."It is not how mush time you invest that makes the difference, but how well the time is spent.Imagine two hours spent finding fault in what your employees and customers do, instead of showing them how to do things the right way.Do not spend your time calculating the mistakes you made in the last business transaction.Instead think of better ways to engage in the same transaction to bring about success.
Have you ever wondered why some students are doing exceedingly well above their mates?Do you know why Bankers resume early and close late?the result gotten is a product of time spent, doing what they know to do best.
This principles apply to each and every one of us.Be a sticker to time if you want the business to succed and grow.
Open Business Account
The best way to monitor the financial growth of your business is to set up books of account, where any income accruing to the bussines should be recorded. The book of account should agree with the bank balance.Any expenditure made or purshases should reflect in the books of account. The book of account would help you discover which month is the best month in your business. It will equally help you to plan new strategies and tactics to enable you achieve new heights in business.
Watch Your Expenditure.
This is where most up coming businessmen lose out.To sustain a steady growth of business, you should know when to spend money.why you should spend money and how to spend the money. It is not everything that looks like business is business. The economists have "th scale of preference."It is simply a guide towards your expenditure.your wants are not necesarily your needs.what is "Business is not pleasure."It would be suicidal for a businessman who is still sourcing for money to expand his business,to go and purchase a car.Why would you increase the number of employees when the workload can be handled by you and the few staff you have.it is not important the number of cars or staff you have that make you a good businessman. What important is that the business should stand the test of time and give birth to other business.
Set A Standard
Are you an expatraite? Are you a professional in your field or a consultant? How do you render your services? Are your services based on influence and closeness? If yes, then something is wrong. The customers respect one thing (Standard). If this statement were not true, people would have stopped buying items from the supermarket.you know what you or your business can offer ,then why compromise?compromising your stand can turn your business without track record. It can put you out of business.Do not confuse business for pleasure.

THE TAKE OFF

The starting point of any endeavour, be it spiritual or secular, always has a significant impact on its general development and outcome. This is why deligent builders and engineers often devote quality time and energy to the foundation of their projects.Materials for the foundation are meticulously selected and methodically combined to ensure a strong, durable and laudable structure.
Experienced athletes and pilots do the same thing too.knowing the peculiar nature of their job, pilot don't just embark on a flight without ensuring that the aircraft is thouroughly checked and certified fit for the challenges of air travel.Athletes too take time out to streth their muscle, inspect thei runing boots and listen attentively to the sound of the gun before taking off.
The illustration may not be new to us,my experience based on pre NYSC preparation and during the service year.
Before we were posted,I prayed that God should lead me right and wherever he leads me,i will go.when the posting letter came out,if found myself in the Heart beat of Nigeria,Edo State.this is the begining of the journey,i get to the camp on the 26th of march,2008 @ arround 4pm commensed the registration process until arround 7.15pm.To God be the Glory i was able to received the long awaiting Khaki which i av been dream off since when i was in secondary school.I could not joinned the millitary parrade practise that day.on the following day,the practise commensed fully.Through prayer and persistence,we scape through the odds.On the Dey we are to receive the posting letter to our various places of primary assignment of which we av been told to receive it in good faith.i Strongly believe God that he will take control.eventually,i was posted to a city but i faced rejection where i was posted to not knowing whwat God have in stocks for me.I was re-posted to a company where i gained a wealth of marketing experienced. The Company deals with all telecom operators in vouchers, products and services. To God be the Glory.
Now all these have prepared me to face whatever challengies that may wanted to come in the favour market (labour market),And for me to be a boss of my own is not an issue base on the experience.moreso,am a cameratographer cum photorapher I av venture in various capacity building to face whatever chalengies.
i pray that this short story of mine will thouch someones live in ventures in skill acquisation proramme, develop urselve to achieve ur goals and aspiration in live.

Best Regards................................................Olasunkanmi
